Founded in 1974 by Ugo Gazzola Superior Masonry started as a local residential masonry contractor specializing in fireplaces, brick and stone veneers throughout Thunder Bay, Ontario and surrounding area. While continuing with residential construction, Ugo with the help of his son Joseph Gazzola evolved superior masonry from solely residential masonry services to a well-rounded company that now specializes in all different aspects of masonry work. Superior Masonry Thunder Bay Ltd. continues to run today as Thunder Bay’s longest locally owned and family operated masonry company being operated by Joseph and his son Matthew Gazzola, who also shares the same passion for the trade as his father and grand-father.
